Terms of Use

These terms set out the rules for using Morshed, what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. Please read them before you create an account.

1. Accepting these terms

Morshed is made by BugSquad Software, a company registered in Egypt (Commercial Register No. 22375). These terms are an agreement between you and BugSquad Software. They cover the Morshed apps for Android and iOS and this website, morshedapp.bugsquad.co.

You accept these terms when you create your account in the app. By using Morshed, you also agree to follow our Community Guidelines, which form part of these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not create an account or use Morshed.

2. Who can use Morshed

• You must be at least 15 years old to use Morshed. Under-15s cannot register.
• If you are 15, 16 or 17, you must confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to your use of Morshed and to these terms.
• The details you give when you register, including your date of birth, must be true.
• If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 15, we delete it.

3. Your account

• You sign in with your Egyptian mobile number and a one-time code we send to it by SMS. There are no passwords.
• You can have one account per phone number.
• Anyone who has your phone can receive your sign-in codes. Keep your phone and any device you are signed in on secure, and never share your codes with anyone.
• Your account is personal to you. Do not sell or transfer it, or let anyone else use it.
• You are responsible for what is done through your account. If you lose access to your phone number or think someone else is using your account, email us at support@morshedapp.bugsquad.co.

4. Your content

"Your content" means everything you post on Morshed: questions, answers, reviews, ratings, photos and videos, and information you contribute about places, stations and transport.

You keep ownership. Your content remains yours. You are responsible for it, and you confirm that you have the right to post it and the consent of any identifiable person who appears in your photos or videos.

Questions, answers, reviews, ratings and information about places, stations and transport. You grant BugSquad Software a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for example, to fit a format or to translate) and distribute them, within Morshed and to promote Morshed. This licence survives the deletion of your account: these contributions stay on Morshed after you delete your account, with the author shown as anonymous.

Photos and videos. You grant BugSquad Software a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and sublicensable licence to host, store, display and distribute them within Morshed for as long as they remain on Morshed. When you delete a photo or video, or delete your account, the images and videos concerned are deleted and this licence ends.

5. Acceptable use

When you use Morshed, you must follow our Community Guidelines and the law. In particular, you must not:

• harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or post hateful content;
• post sexual or violent content;
• post false information, fake reviews or ratings, or manipulate votes, points or ranks;
• post spam, advertising or self-promotion;
• post photos or videos of identifiable people, especially children, without their consent;
• post photos or videos of military or sovereign sites, or drone footage taken without a licence;
• share other people's personal data, or post content that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights;
• impersonate another person, or use a phone number that is not yours;
• use Morshed for anything illegal;
• copy or scrape Morshed's content, access Morshed by automated means, interfere with how it works or try to get around its security.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We remove content that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, and we suspend or terminate the accounts of users who post it or who abuse others.

6. Travel information

• Much of the information on Morshed, such as details of places, stations, transport and routes, comes from other users. It may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
• Opening hours, prices, fares, schedules, closures and safety conditions change. Routes, distances and travel times are estimates.
• Morshed is a travel guide. We do not sell bookings and do not provide transport or tours.
• Before you travel, check the information yourself with official sources. Follow local laws and the rules of the places you visit, and do not use the app while driving.

You plan and make your trips at your own risk.

7. Points, ranks and badges

• Morshed awards points, ranks and badges for your activity in the app.
• They have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, sold or transferred to another account.
• We may change how points, ranks and badges are earned and how they work.
• We may adjust or remove points, ranks and badges gained through abuse, manipulation or breaking these terms.

8. Moderation, suspension and termination

Reporting and blocking. You can report content or a user and block other users in the app. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. The Community Guidelines explain how.

What we may do. If content or behaviour breaks these terms, the Community Guidelines or the law, we may remove the content, limit what the account can do, or suspend or terminate the account. Where the law requires it, we also report content or disclose information to the competent authorities.

Ending your account. You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by email. The Delete Account page explains both ways and what is deleted and what is kept.

If your account is deleted or terminated, section 4 (for the content that stays on Morshed) and sections 11, 13 and 14 continue to apply.

9. Intellectual property

The Morshed apps and this website, the Morshed name and logo, their design, and the content we create or curate, such as destination information and transport data, belong to BugSquad Software or its licensors.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Morshed app for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms. Except where the law allows it, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer the app or its content.

10. Third-party services

Morshed uses Google Maps to show maps and calculate routes. Google Maps is a service run by Google with its own terms. By using the map features in Morshed, you agree to the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service.

If you download Morshed from the App Store or Google Play, those stores' own terms also apply to your download.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Morshed is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that Morshed will always be available or free of errors, or that the information in it is accurate, complete or up to date.

To the extent the law allows, BugSquad Software is not liable for:

• indirect or consequential loss;
• loss caused by relying on information in Morshed, including travel information posted by other users;
• content posted by other users or their conduct, on Morshed or off it;
• services run by third parties, such as Google Maps.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Egyptian law that cannot be limited by agreement, including any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 181 of 2018).

12. Changes to Morshed and to these terms

We may add, change or remove features of Morshed, or stop offering it.

BugSquad Software may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and give any further notice the law requires. If you keep using Morshed after the changes take effect, the updated terms apply to you. If you do not agree to them, you can stop using Morshed and delete your account.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The courts of Giza, Egypt, have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from your use of Morshed.

If you have a complaint, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it.

14. Language

These terms are published in Arabic and English. If the two versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
